Saint Cosme
Cotes du Rhone

12/2018 Nice - medium body, good fruit. This is a better than average Cotes du Rhone, and a fairly interesting wine.
2017
Kirkland
Cotes du Rhone

**

11/2018 Pretty good - medium body, and light fruit. Not as good as most Cotes du Rhones, but this is a VERY low price.
2016
Kirkland Gigondas

16
**

11/2018 Pretty good - medium body, and a bit of funky Gigondas character. Not as good as some Cotes du Rhones, which are a bit cheaper.
2014
Gerard Bertrand
Corbieres

15
***

11/2018 Pretty good - medium body and fruit. This is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. I really like these Rhone styled blends.
2012
Cuvee Maclura
Chateau Pegau
Cotes du Rhone

16
***

09/2015 Very nice - medium body, good fruit. This is made by the owner of Domaine Pegau, whose Chateauneuf is amazing. Nice depth for a Cotes du Rhone, and a very food-friendly wine.
2009
Cameron Hughes
Lot 369
Cotes de Nuit

***

02/2014 Very nice - medium body, good fruit. This is a mature wine, very soft and round. Nice price for a French Burgundy.
2010

Lot 354
Crozes-Hermitage

***

11/2013 Very nice - medium body, good fruit. This is a step up from a typical Cotes du Rhone, with nice depth and a bit of complexity. We tasted this against the Saint Damien, and this was the preferred wine.

***

11/2013 Very nice - medium body, good fruit. We had this with a smoked turkey at Thanksgiving. This wine was really nice, but a bit expensive.
2009
Domaine Grand Veneur
Clos Sixte Lirac

23
****

07/2013 Very nice - big body, good fruit. This wine takes a while to open up. I decanted it 90 minutes before serving, and it made quite a difference. This wine exceeded my expectations - more expensive, but worth it.
2009
Henry Fessy
Fleurie

15
***

11/2012 Very nice - medium body, good fruit. This is a fancier Beaujolais, and a very food-friendly wine.
2009
Chateau Arnauton
Fronsac

14
**

11/2011 Nice wine - medium body, good fruit. This had well defined fruit, and was fairly interesting - one of the better Fronsacs I have tasted.
2008
Chateau Pesquie
Terasses

16
***

05/2011 Very nice - medium body, good fruit. This is a step up from a typical Cotes du Rhone, and a very food-friendly wine.
2008 Andezon
Cotes du Rhone

18
**

01/2011 I decided to give this wine another try. I did not like this wine very much. This is a typical Robert Parker "fruit bomb", and seems to be overripe.
