Tasting notes
2018
Beckman Vineyards
Cuvee Le Bec
Santa Ynez Valley

***

03/2020 Excellent - Big bodied, nice nose. This was a bit hot / spicy when first opened. But it smoothed out after a day or two. Could easily age for a few more years. This is a blend of 45% Syrah, 39% Grenache, 9% Mourvedre and 7% Counoise. Somewhat reminiscent of a Rhone blend.

12/2018 Excellent - Big bodied, nice nose. Very unusual to see this as a varietal, mostly used for blending. This is a high alcohol wine, very dark in color. Really needs another 6-12 months before it is ready to drink.

10/2018 Decent wine - Medium body, not much fruit. Fairly well balanced, but I am NOT too excited to drink this wine.

06/2018 Meh wine - Medium body, almost no fruit, a touch of oak. Not really recommended, the TerraNoble was easier to drink. Still looking for wines from Chile that are good tasting and reasonably priced.
